I am starting this petition as I heard the news today that Buckingham palace will be getting a refurbishment worth almost £370 millions pounds to be paid for by us the British Tax payers ! Now I have nothing against the queen or the royal family , but I think in these tough times , with many children living in poverty in Britain , while our NHS Is at breaking point and everyone else is having to tighten the purse strings, I simply don't see why one of the richest families in the world should have their palace refurbed on us. Let's get enough support for this and make them pay it themselves like the rest of us would have to

I just saw another article about the budget and honestly the whole thing makes my head spin because how are we supposed to justify this when the local clinics are falling apart. I have been reading through the messages you all are leaving and some of your stories are just heartbreakingly honest about what it feels like to struggle while they get a free pass.

She can sell a few racehorses and some of her other residences (which she does not need) to pay for the repairs. Then royal family needs serious dismantlement.
Why should we the public pay for a multi millionaire to have her house repaired.it is a joke
Get off her arse get a cleaning job
the 'queen' broke her oath to the people when she signed legislation..there is no 'queen of england'!!!!!!
why shouldn't she pay for her own repairs, the people are robbed enough at the hands of this evil conservative government. Giving her more money is another kick in the teeth for the already bled dry public.

There's too much need for this money elsewhere in the UK. Royals, please contribute to your own luxury needs.
