We the undersigned do not agree to our taxes being spent on a royal wedding. No other family in the United Kingdom is entitled to live off the state to the extent that the Royal Family does - and not one taxpayer has been consulted in regards to this matter.
In such times of hardship and budget cuts, where the public are being forced to bail out banks while bankers walk away with bonuses, and MPs/MEPs still claim expenses of ludicrous and unjust amounts, it is shameful that the government will take our money and spend it frivolously on a personal occasion for one couple, with the suggestion that that couple is seemingly more important than the rest of the UK's residents.
We say NO to our taxes being spent on a royal wedding. We call for a referendum in regards to this occasion, and the financing of the Royal Family as a whole.
I have been reading through your comments about the struggle to get by while public funds are treated like a personal bank account. This quiet frustration is exactly why I started this and it keeps me pushing forward even when the officials refuse to acknowledge us.

Seeing the momentum behind this issue has been surreal because it confirms that I am not alone in my frustration over how our hard-earned money is being handled. This level of interest proves that people are tired of seeing their funds squandered while they struggle to make ends meet.

Keep your hands off my paycheck. We are struggling to pay rent and these people want a golden carriage.

It says a lot about the state of this country when we prioritize a party for billionaires over actual public services. Disgraceful.

Totally agree. They have plenty of money of their own without dipping into the public purse for a massive wedding.

Ridiculous that we have to pay for this while the NHS is on its knees. Let them pay for their own party.
