We petition the City of Lafayette, Colorado to oppose the installation of a cell phone tower on the Indian Peaks Golf Course.

The existence of a 40 foot cell phone tower disguised as a mono pine on the Indian Peaks Golf Course would:

  • Contradict the City of Lafayette’s values for community life, healthy lifestyles and sustainable living
  • Devalue the capital improvements that have recently been made to the golf course
  • Hurt the neighborhood aesthetics and devalue surrounding private properties
  • Introduce a public hazard should the tower fall, be hit by a vehicle, catch fire or be an attractive nuisance to a child
  • Put the health of our citizens and children at risk from radio frequency exposure
We demand that the City Council deny the application to build the cell phone tower and help preserve the strong community of Lafayette and the healthy, sustainable living the town affords.

I do not believe there should be a tower in a residential area near us. They are ugly. It would effect the value of our homes. I believe it is still unknown as to the safety issues. It is my understanding that it is exclusive to Verizon, that a lot of people do not have. If you allow one is every other provider going to try to put one up as well? Find another spot.

Come on Lafayette! This is a beautiful town. Isn't it enough that every square inch of green space is being built on. Do we really need to add a cell tower to complete destroy this - what was once - a lovely rural town.

As the owner of the house closest to the proposed tower I do not want this built near my property. I am certain it will affect the value of my home and it could be a significant health concern. I am firmly against the building of this tower.

Please do NOT build this tower and cause harm to the lives of my daughter, her husband and my 3 grandchildren. This tower would be in their backyard.

we live at 1174 Blue Stem Trail and oppose this, there are several areas around the outside of the neighborhood that could take this tower...on the course and amongst the homes seems not to fit with what we all want from the neighborhood.

Verizon is not a welcomed fit into our neighborhood with its cell phone tower. It is up to the community to protect our children, community values and our investments from big Corporations like Verizon.

North East on 95th there is more space but not at Indian Peaks Golf Course for a cell phone tower. Please be more considerate of the residents there.
