**'NO-BUILD' SEGMENT 6! No Teal! No Yellow! Make Toll 49 safe!**
How to make it safe? Here are our asks:
(1) ‘No-build’ option for Segment 6! Fix what is already built by adding concrete "jersey" barriers between opposing lanes, expand shoulder width to at least 12 ft, resolve problems causing so many accidents on 49 along the west side of Tyler, restore road surface profile drainage (to eliminate hydroplaning)
OR
(2) ‘No-build’ option for Segment 6! Complete the original design for what is already built and no build segment 6, a 4 lane divided highway with median and jersey barriers, 12 ft. shoulders, resolve what's causing accidents along west side segment of 49, and restore the road surface profile for adequate drainage (to eliminate hydroplaning)**

All of the proposed options for connecting with I-20 have drivers driving farther East before connecting with I-20. Given that most drivers from our area that connect with I-20 are going West to Dallas, it makes NO SENSE to force drivers to drive many miles to the East out of their way to connect with I-20!
This segment 6 project is unnecessary and the money would be better spent on addressing deferred maintenance and improving overall existing roadways in this area.
The TEAL route will be only about 150' from my property. Unacceptable! Not to mention that we don't need this extension at all!
No Build I do not feel the toll road is in the right place for our community, needs more thought. Growth for us in Chapel Hill will be greatly impacted. No Build please

Does not need to be this close to homes! From the comments I've read about toll 49, someone needs to wake up and learn how to properly construct a road way!

Dont't extend until the existing path is made safe. We've many lives on Toll 49. My husband and I barely avoided a head-on collision. A driver was passing three cars and we barely avoided him at the last minute. Since then I have avoided 49.
