We demand TXDOT, City of Fort Worth, and EMISD make immediate safety improvements on Blue Mound Rd from Western Center to Basswood Blvd. This includes street lights, road expansion, crosswalks and sidewalks.

After a recent tragic incident at this location, it is time for City of Fort Worth and TXDOT to move up their plans to improve this dangerous intersection.

Blue Mound expansion is not projected to start until the end of 2017. Due to the rapidly increasing growth rate, this projects timeline is unacceptable and a safety hazard for the citizens.

Kids are expected to walk in tall grass and low-lit areas on the sides of Blue Mound Rd from Saginaw HS and surrounding areas in order to walk to and from school. This is unacceptable and a serious hazard to all pedestrians and vehicles.

Seeing 500 signatures on this page reminds me that I am not the only one terrified for our children every time they walk along these roads. This level of support is proof that our community refuses to accept these dangerous conditions any longer.

Seeing one hundred people sign this gives me so much hope that we can finally fix this road for our kids. My neighbor told me she feels safer knowing this many people are demanding the same changes I am.

I have a daughter who is freshman and have lived in this area for years, even as a driver my wife and I try to avoid this area and also have had numerous near miss incidents due to traffic and pedestians. We to have complained and been highly concerned about the safety of this area.

I feel our children are not safe only a few feet out their own front door. Blue mound rd. has become an alternate to Interstate 35W with all the construction. Motorist need to realize families and schools are located here, and need to yield to pedestrians

Waiting for this project to begin the end of 2017 is UNACCEPTABLE. This is the 2nd child in 10 yrs to be killed. This should have been started & finished years ago when Saginaw High was built. GET IT DONE PEOPLE!

I have been a resident of the area for only 2 years, but always wondered why there wasn't any sidewalks for the students walking on bluemound, or crossing it. Truly heart breaking that a young boy had to lose his life for changes to happen.

The school zone speed limit needs to be moved up (north of basswood by cvs ) now that sante fe trails is across from SHS, there's a few high schoolers that cross that intersection. Also, there should be sidewalks on the corner of bluemound/basswood .
