The council finally reversed their decision and my grill is fired up again. I honestly never thought this would be possible without the help of the 419 people who backed me up. Please come by and say hello whenever you are in the neighborhood because this win belongs to you.

The council has stopped me from doing my BBQ after 8 years. Since then my business has gone done by 60 per cent.

I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum behind this and I never imagined so many people would care about my little corner shop. This is entirely because of your kindness and I am just so grateful to have you behind me.

He is working hard for a living, why put an unnecessary barrier up to prevent him having a focus to provide for his family. It is better he continue his successful business that he has had for years rather than live off the government. THINK ABOUT IT?

I hope that by me signing the petition will allow you to say a way forward. Where is the proof that other traders have complained? Absolute none sense. Give him the chance to support his 5 children, most of all bring back the 'jerk chicken' the way it should be cooked!

Why don't you ban the young, trendy, middle class professionals instead? They are transforming Brixton into another characterless area, like Camden. Kick them out and leave Jeff to do what he does best!

The smoke is a bit over-whelming at times, but banning it is out of proportion. Jeff has been here a long time, before us new traders set up our Saturday stalls. Its unfair that he should now have to curtail his business.

This is Brixton Market FFS! Jerk Chicken is essential to the character of the market. BBQ is essential to Jerk Chicken. Don't like the smell of BBQ smoke? Move/work/visit somewhere else. Nuff said, as we might say in Brixton....

I think the co-operative council need to seriously think about their decision ti band jerking!! Surely its just a case if relocating the stalls that don't want to be around 'smoke'... Jerking is a part of Brixton life.... Reinstate the Jerk Pan NOW campaign will continue until it is back on the menu..
