This petition has been set up in response to the proposed ban on horses and horse drawn vehicles on our local beaches in Galway city. Please support us in our bid to have our concerns and issues raised. We are against a blanket ban on horses on our local beaches. We would like our local councillors to include us in any discussion and decisions made about our freedom to avail of this wonderful natural resource. We are responsible horse owners and riders. Please treat us with respect and listen to our views before you cast judgement on us. Thank You

Ridiculous. Horses been on these beaches for years and it never did any harm. Leave us alone.

I ride down there all the time and we always clean up after ourselves. It is unfair to punish all the responsible owners.

The beaches in Galway have always belonged to everyone. You cant just ban a whole culture because of a few people.
