we won and the city denied the rezoning request for deepwater. thanks to everyone who signed because we actually stopped this thing. we need to keep our eyes open just in case they try another move like this later.

WE the stakeholders of Wilmington OBJECT to the proposed project located at 1424 Deepwater in Wilmington. This project is located in an R1 residential area and is not equiped to handle such a large project. The stakeholders of Wilmington have been trying to preserve and expand our current R1 housing not decrease it. R1 housing stock in Wilmington is already below average compared to other communities in the area. We petition that the request to rezone 1424 Deepwater in Wilmington be denied. We further request any other projects seeking to to change R1 zoning in Wilmington also be denied.

Very scary to think a council person would support this so close to schools, parks and residents. Home owners nearby should be concerned about their values going down
I object to the proposed project located at 1424 Deepwater in Wilmington. We don’t need more buildings and transients near our schools and park where children will be jeopardized. This community is already below average compared to other communities. No means No!
I have 3 kids whom love to play outside with the neighbors. If this happens this will make me keep my kids indoors...This is totally not acceptable. Let the Politicians build a shelter on their block
It’s near our children’s schools and park..Please you have so many other locations we feel like we can’t breathe already with these containers and the noise in our surroundings we feel congested.!!
No!!! We don’t need any rezoning projects what we do need is more beautification projects and more citations to these trucking companies thank keep destroying our city

Keep this R1 zone. Property values will go down. Joe Buscaino needs to listen to the people of Wilmington. Build this project in PV or in Joes back yard.

Capped oil wells are not safe and a grave impact on nearby homes, in the community that already has other homeless housing, more traffic congestion, and not supportive of keeping R1 zoning and single family dwellings..
