Keep this R1 zone. Property values will go down. Joe Buscaino needs to listen to the people of Wilmington. Build this project in PV or in Joes back yard.

Sure there is space available, but why is it almost always that regions of low to middle income endure such burdens? I care for the homeless. I literally have gave them food. You would rarely or never see housing for them in neighborhoods of wealth or privileged. Instead, they are being pushed out of those areas and into others because people don't want to compassionately help and/or the homeless are an 'eye sore'. I get it. People are usually afraid and speak badly of issues they know nothing about. We all have a story. That homeless person is someone's son, daughter, mother, father. Let's take time to understand why then we can come up with concrete solutions. I'm all for housing the less fortunate but let's even the playing field. Thanks for your time. PEACE

Why not build The homeless project in San Pedro where Janice Hines grew up has the money to build San Pedro and make it beautiful but not Wilmington

Capped oil wells are not safe and a grave impact on nearby homes, in the community that already has other homeless housing, more traffic congestion, and not supportive of keeping R1 zoning and single family dwellings..

There are plenty of other locations suitable for the proposed project, this site is not one. 56 units, with only 19 parking spaces, 4 designated for staff, with a turn around section for ambulance and fire engines to exit in emergencies, traffic which is throughout the day, is not suitable for this project. Children walking to school and from school will not be safe. Wilmington is a hard working neighborhood, we do not have luxuries like surrounding neighborhoods, all we have is our home. Our home is our wealth! This project threatens our property value, our wealth, and it should not be on this site.
