Nikon should recall the D7000 for a Backfocus Defect. The problem is well documented across the web and owners are currently forced to send the unit in to Nikon and wait for an extended period for the unit to be repaired. Nikon should recall the units or develop and alternative solution for the issue.

I started this because I was tired of waiting on my own camera but seeing this momentum grow is completely overwhelming. This belongs to all of you who shared your own frustrating stories and kept the pressure alive.

I wasted countless hours because I thought it was lens. Kept calibrating lenses.

This focusing issue is very frustrating and a very big waste of my time. Please add my name to the list.

I am having the very same problem with my D7000. I thought it was me, but no matter what I try, the focus issue is always there. Add me to the list. Nikon should fix this issue. And they know it.

I have the same issue with my D7000. I spent enough trying to fix my lenses thinking that the problem was with the lenses. Who would have thought Nikon will have such bad QC. I guess accepting mistakes is not the market trend any more.
