Our children are our most precious assets and should be protected at all costs! I am a Grandmother of two and live in North Haven. My heart breaks to know that parents, teachers ans students, are fearful to go to school. Please do whatever is necessary to protect them.

I whole heartily agree that we need to do more. Armed guards, door jammers, a communication system and metal detectors is a great goal. I would also like to see an outreach program developed for troubled kids who may fight the system but are really just calling out for help. We need to help these kids before it gets violent. We can't just keep pushing them along with a society that seemingly rejects them. Leaving them to figure it out alone. Protect as well as prevent!

I feel there should be a armed police officer at each school every day, all day. Locked doors at all times only goes so far and if someone wants to get in, they will. I don't feel that school staff can or ever will be fully prepared for situations like these like a trained police officer is.

This is so scary..something needs to happen to protect our children. The state of connecticut is giving money to the town of North Haven to buy land to preserve . what they should actually do is give money to the town to preserve the lives of our children Unbelievable

As a frequent school visitor, I am certainly in favor of locked door measures and would never object to questions about my need to enter a school.

Immediate: Bullet proof film over any existing classroom or common area doors that have windows.
