After the 9/16/24 threat of a weapon at SMS, and the closure of the school to assess the situation further, do we still feel that our children are safe? While increased police presence promotes safety, it does not stop weapons from entering schools. Metal Detectors will instill a sense of safety in students, staff, and parents; and ensure that education remain the main focus in our schools. Please share!

The school board continues to ignore the danger our kids face every single day. This momentum shows they can no longer hide behind their excuses while our classrooms remain vulnerable.

Our most important resource on this planet is our children. They are our future. Literally
I used to be a guard with New Milford schools. My kids are now in New Milford schools and I want them protected. I grew up in Sandy Hook and went to that school and I don’t want that happening again.
I think please put it to help because I am a mother and other people also make me very worried about my son at school
Concerts, bars and small events get metal directors but not schools?? This should have been done years ago. Figure this out.
Honor the children whose lives are disposable for the right to bear arms! True insanity.
They need to do this, will be so helpful.
