Many young ladies who attend Northern Guildford High School do not agree with the new dress code policy, focusing on section 12. We are expected to conform to a certain way of dressing so we don't distract our fellow male classmates. We cannot express ourselves through clothing because of the way our male classmates may look at us. We need to teach the young men to respect us instead of altering our wardrobe to fit such an absurd rule. Leggings, jeggings, and yoga pants are not considered undergarments to any modern day millennial, and wearing the required piece of clothing over it is very unrealistic.The following petition is for those who do not agree with the new dress code policy

This is not fair to the young ladies that can't afford to wear expensive Jean wear and etc maybe all they can afford or have to wear is yoga pants and leggings boys should be able to control them selves instead of making us women suffer teach these guys respect women
Rules like this are promoting rape culture and instead of telling females to cover up because a guy might look at you, tell the male not to sexualize women. This rule is basically saying "She was asking for it, her clothes were too tight"
I'm signing because I do not believe in sending the message that young girls must cover their bodies because of their inherently sexual nature. Also, I think there should be more specific protections for women who wear head coverings for religious reasons.
This policy is very discriminatory and should be overturned. It puts girls in a very difficult situation and it was never an issue in the first place. Seriously Northern? This is what we worry about instead of fights and drugs? Pretty sad
By enforcing this dress code, you're enforcing that our male classmates education is more important than ours. As well, you're saying that our focus should be on whether our clothes abide this strict code versus our education and future.
Men need to learn to respect women we are already limited to shorts, dresses, skirts, etc. Now leggings and jeggings that's like saying no skinny jeans. We women are more targeted in fashion than men.

I am a big girl so everything I wear is tight. And section 12 says your shirts,dresses,and jeans must not be tight or else you might get iss or oss it's not fair that I should get introble for the way my body looks in clothing this rule is rediculous!
