The stories from families who are turned away at the gates have confirmed that this situation is far more urgent than I initially realized. I am currently compiling your experiences to present as a formal report to the local recreation board. While the process is slow, your continued participation ensures that this issue remains at the forefront of our local planning discussions.

Seeing this level of engagement confirms that many of our neighbors share the same frustration regarding our current facilities. This groundswell of interest signals that our community is ready to prioritize a space that actually serves our families.

I grew up out here and my sister and friends and I were there almost everyday. I have so many memories being at that pool, and now that I have children I haven't been once. I would love for them to experience the same memories that I have but it is just too crowded all the time. We need something a lot bigger to accommodate all ages. And I think have a nice big lawn area inside the pool area would be beneficial..
I know Pueblo West needs improvements to the Pueblo West Pool. Carol Crosby of PW Parks and Rec has done a great job of maintaining the pool. The pool is aging and needs costly repairs. The PW Metro Dist. Is low on funds to make these repairs. My son is a lifeguard at the pool. The staff does all they can to keep up the pool. I know they do not like sending people away when they are at capacity, but they must follow the rules. PW is in need of an addition or new pool. Finding the funds to do this is very difficult. Please sign the petition to get things rolling toward a new pool.
Our community has grown from less than 3,000 to about 35,000 and still has the same swimming pool, it's time for a large pool!
We love going here in our community. The swim instructors are wonderful. We really need a larger pool. Unless we get there an hour before open swim, and wait in line you are turned away from full capacity.
It would be great to have build a pool on the north side of the highway. The majority of the community resources are on the south side of the highway.
I would love to see a really nice facility with a water park incorporated.
My son has not been there in 5 years. We needed another pool out North and on West side.

Maybe we can find some community grants or matching funds? I would be willing g to help work on fundraising efforts.
