New Dimensions School (NDS) is a free public school governed by the NC Dpt of Public Instruction. NDS follows all required components of the NC Standard Course of Study as well as the Core Knowledge Curriculum. All teachers are Highly Qualified and licensed by the State of North Carolina.
Burke County Public Schools faces a $12 million shortfall in their budget. NDS is offering $400,000 for the purchase of the empty Mountain View Elementary School building. In a down economy, this is a good offer and no one else has offered to buy the building. An additional $400,000 in the BCPS budget will help them.

That building has been sitting rotting for years and its an eyesore. Let the school buy it and actually put it to use instead of letting it fall apart.
