According to Statistics Canada, Edmonton has the 2nd highest population growth of any city in Edmonton. With a population of 1,328,290, it has become Canada's 5th largest metro. Windermere, in particular, has seen a 563.4% growth in population from 322 to 2,136 since 2009.
Despite the rapid population growth, the community has not seen an equivalent increase in registry services. We would like to propose the need for a new registry with efficient staff and readily available services. This registry would provide the following services:
1) vehicle registration
2) driver licensing and testing
3) personal property searches and registrations
4) land title searches
5) vital statistics searches
6 ) Alberta Health Care registration
7) Alberta Organ and Tissue Donation Registry services
Another registry cannot be set up without a license from our local MLA.
Please help us reach 500 signatures to demonstrate the need for a new registry for the Windermere, Terwillegar, and Riverbend communities.

I am honestly stunned by how many of you stepped up to back this proposal for our neighborhood. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who took a moment to show that our community deserves better access to these basic services.

The line at riverbend is always out the door. tired of waiting an hour just to renew my tags. hope this happens soon.
long overdue. the growth in windermere is insane and we have zero services to show for it.
Yes. New registry for the sw. The one in riverbend gives me a headache with their customer service skills and manners. I go to other ones cause im not a fan of that one so much. Yes for a new one in windermere/ambleside/terwillegar.
PLEASE. driving all the way across town is such a waste of time. we have so many people living out here now.
There is only one in Riverbend and usually there is at least 30-45 minutes wait.
