Hello my name is Steve Westley I am looking to build a new house on my site in Herne Common. I would like to turn this house into an economical 10 bedroom HMO for students or professionals, all the bedrooms will be large spacious rooms with en suites and rents will include all bills including internet. I would like to understand the communities feelings towards a need for a new build HMO. This will be a brand new building with several bedrooms built to the highest standards, we have a bus stop right outside the site and a direct route into the city of canterbury. It is a lovely area just outside of canterbury with close connections to surrounding towns and villages. Please do sign if you feel the new house would be an asset to the student community, I would love to know your opinions. Kind Regards Steve

The momentum behind this housing initiative proves that our community recognizes the desperate need for quality living spaces. It is clear that the status quo is failing us and we are ready to build something better despite the narrow minded opposition standing in our way.

Can I book a large room with ensuite for our son now please . But dont consider students or drop outs as many will not respect the building. I believe it would better suit those in employment on lower earnings who want to move on from living with family .
Brilliant idea not just for students but for the professionals like you say. Working people cannot always afford the price of a flat so HMO are a perfect idea. Gives them independence where they may have had to continue living at home with parents.
In a time of much needed affordable accommodation, I believe these sort of projects are essential. I hope the council approves this very attractive looking building.
I think this is a great idea.......affordable apartments are needed for students....as a parent of a uni student....it's nice to know our kids are living somewhere safe. Good luck and I hope this project is approved.
There is a huge requirement for student accomodation close to the university campuses.Several buildings in the City cater for students too.Will your projected facility be too far out for them in travel terms/class hours/entertainment & social needs ?? Just a thought !! Good luck anyway .

There are is a shortage of affordable housing in our area (especially for the young, students, etc) and I therefore support this proposal.
