As fourth years in the last weeks of our course we feel that marking the Networking Employability Event is unjustified for the following reasons :

1. The 20% allocation of marks is not mentioned in any marking scheme we have received. This includes in class material received by us and also all digital material that we have received or have been instructed to download.

2. We feel as a group entering the final stage of our earning our degrees it would be added pressure to be marked on a networking event when we are already under a considerable amount of stress completing projects which are due over the next few weeks.

3. We feel that inviting our mentors to the networking event is asking for too much of their time. We would be inviting them to the exhibition in the college to showcase our final year projects and would much prefer them to attend the exhibition rather than the networking event. We feel asking our mentors to travel twice in such a short period of time is unprofessional practice and would prefer if we didn't have to make our mentors, in some cases, choose between the exhibition and the networking event.
