This petition opposes a move by the department of Culture, Film and Media at the University of Nottingham to alter the marking process for a module assessment after it had taken place.
It was outlined to us in the assignment description on 5 March 2013 that '10% of your mark for the module [will be] based on the presentation and 30% self-allocated, based on participation'. This assignment description and marking process was published two months before the assessment date, and as a result every group's work was entirely geared towards such objectives. We therefore see this decision to retrospectively alter the marking process as unprofessional and unfair.

So frustrating. We planned everything around the 30% participation weight and now it feels like a waste of time.
