ARE WE NOT SERVING AS EXPECTED?
on the 19th December, 2016, there was a letter with reference number (FWSC/D/SCR.3/Vol.17/26) from Ministry of Finance indicating the UPWARD ADJUSTMENT OF NATIONAL SERVICE ALLOWANCE, that increment represented only 60% of fresh graduate salary on a single spine salary structure (SSSS).
This call had lots of smiles on Personnels faces since our much awaited puzzle was being solved. Mr. President, we want to again remind you that we still are very committed in Serving our Mother Ghana whole heartedly and will keep on being Leaders in Youth Advocacy through our Service to communities and the Nation at large.
Mr. President, though service personnel, we do also pay rent, pay utilities and in some instances, incurre expenses such as transportation, day-to-day administration of our lives and even personnel in the teaching fields have to sometimes motivate some students in diverse ways to boost them to be encouraged more to attend school.
Your Excellency, though we are willing to serve, can we serve with empty stomach? No. We can't. You did recognized of the hardship in the economy and promised a better live for each citizen so please hear our plea since we are equally affected in the economy.
Mr. President, if in the same period, two approvals were issued and one is being looked down upon, does that mean we look inferior to the Government? We ask this question because the 12% of Wage/Salary workers has been credited to their accounts whilst ours have not taken effect.
We weep today with disappointed hearts, and ask this simple question; Are we inferior in the eyes of the Government?
Please don't deny us of that which we fought and strived hard to achieve at last.
Your Excellency, pls we believed in your agenda and we helped you push it through hence we anticipate on your response to our petition.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that the struggle for a living wage for national service personnel is felt by far more people than I originally dared to hope. It is exhausting to keep pushing when the silence from the top remains so heavy but your engagement gives me the resolve to keep going.

Mr President we the service personnel's are still counting on you..We believed in your government please don't disappoint us because the 350 CEDI's is below standard because of the severe increment of utility bills and high cost of level in Ghana,we trust in you...
Please we want our money. How come government was quiet on the salary increment of article 71 office holders but were controversial on Service Personnel allowances increment?
We humbly plead that government should pay us the 559.04 to helps elevate some financial burdens on us. We are all Ghanaians and we also deserve to be treated well because we contribute immensely to the growth of mother Ghana.
Service personnel deserves better treatment. Personnel are sleeping in villages where I don't believe politicians and other civil servants will be willing to. We want our increment
Its really sad to see this happen to us at this crucial time. Why should be be the least to be considered when it comes to payment of allowances. Most NSPs are the ones doing the dirty work for these public servants. They have received their 10% increments in their allowances so why haven't we also gotten ours. Its a shame...
We demmand de increment with arrears paid from January

This increment is long overdue. Let's not play politics with something as essential as allowances for graduates who are serving the nation. It is also a way of motivating the younger ones to continue schooling to the tertiary level.
