Mr. Bob Sinclair was the first principal at Lincoln Trail Elementary School, serving in that role for 15 years. He then moved into the assistant superintendent's position for 7 years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Sinclair selflessly served the students and families of the district and opened the building that is still thriving 65 years after welcoming students.
Naming the Lincoln Trail Library after Mr. Sinclair is a fitting and appropriate honor for this leader who served Mahomet-Seymour students and families for many years.
750 signature from either registered voters who live in the Mahomet Seymour School District, or signatures of alumni of the school district are needed to make this happen, per Board Policy 4:150.

Mr. Sinclair touched the lives of so many young people and was a wonderful mentor to many many teachers. I’m thrilled to be able to call him my friend. A much deserved honor!
Mr Sinclair embodies character & class. I first heard of him through the Mahomet district & came to know him & his wife through their selfless service as Red Cross volunteers.
Bob hired me to Lincoln Trail Librarian in 1976. He was always very supportive of our district libraries. Much more so than ANY district around. M-S still has outstanding libraries.
My Mom, Darlene Mahin, was his secretary at Lincoln Trail for many years. They were good friends and he gave the eulogy at her funeral in 1986. The funeral was held in the LT cafeteria. I attended LT from it's opening when I was in grade 5and 6.
I still remember the day we loaded up our belongings and moved to Lincoln Trail school in March of 1966. A very proud day for our beloved Mr. Sinclair.
