Wycombe District Council appear to be doing their utmost to stop live music at the Nags Head. Despite the fact that for many years prior to it becoming the Pride it ran successfully and saw many famous people play there. The council now seem to be putting every obstacle in the way of it restarting. Not only have they currently banned live music in the blues loft but they are also trying to limit the number of people on the entire premises to 75. Anyone who has been there knows this is ridiculous, I myself used to regularly attend gigs in the blues loft when there were in the region of 150 to 200 upstairs alone with no problems occurring and dowstairs has just as much room again with the main bar and the games room out the back. If escape routes are the issue I know of at least 3 exits on the ground floor (this may be 4) and 3 from the blues loft. What planet are our councillors on, planet killjoy maybe There are very few places where responsible adults are able to enjoy real live music or talented musicians are able to play. If you want to help please sign my petition Thank you PS please also tell everyone you know :) PPS There is a plan to fully soundproof the blues loft but the business needs to be running fully functional to make this a financial possibilty. ppps please be constructive in your comments and NOT abusive. thank you We the undersigned urge WDC to allow the continuation of live music in the Blues Loft at the Nags Head and to reconsider the limit of 75 on the number of people allowed on the premises at any to make it more reasonable and sensible bearing in mind the size of the premises that could comfortably hold in excess of 300 in the combined main bar, games room and blues loft.
