In light of today’s discussion with Dr. Anderson and Dr. Romano, it appears many students are more comfortable with a hybrid learning system due to COVID-19 concerns. I have created this petition for students to sign in favor of a hybrid learning program for Midwestern University’s Physical Therapy program. This petition will be sent to MWU’s administration.

I have compiled the student feedback from this platform to include in a formal briefing for the administration. My next task is to finalize the list of specific hybrid protocols that we will present during our follow up discussion with Dr. Anderson and Dr. Romano.

The decision of how to deliver educational materials (online or in-person) should be a program decision with consideration of how the classes within the program operate, not determined by administration only.
Please consider the safety and health of our students, staff and faculty. We want to minimize the exposure and risk while continuing to maintain a safe educational environment for us all.
Please consider the risk vs. benefit of holding on-campus lectures. Is exposing the students, faculty, and subsequent family members worth sitting in a lecture hall?
HYBRID IS THE WAY TO GO. Why risk it?
Classes like management really dont need to be in person. Keep us safe and keep the lectures remote so we can focus on lab skills.
Hybrid courses all the way!!! Let’s make this safe for students and faculty.

I feel that going to campus for labs and doing our lectures online would be the most beneficial way to get the most out of our learning while keeping everyone as safe as possible and under the least amount of stress. Classes like management and PT Roles that are not skill based seem like unnecessary exposure to have 52 people in a room together.
