For those unaware of current happenings, an Iowa House subcommittee voted on Wednesday 2/16 in favor of legislation that would force the University of Iowa to sell the state’s most famous work of art. If the Pollock was sold the University of Iowa Museum of Art would lose its accreditation through the American Association of Museums. By signing this petition you will be helping us let the Iowa Legislators know that we think they are making a terrible mistake. A mistake that would not only be detrimental to the School of Art and Art History, the entire University of Iowa, but also to the surrounding communities and the state of Iowa.
