On the brink of the New Year 2011 Mount Vernon NY Animal Shelter was broken into and 7 beautiful innocent dogs were stolen. The Animal Shelter has been operating on a very tight budget to begin with.Many local citizens volunteer and donate needed items to assist. One major item that was and still needed is a security system.The City of Mount Vernon's Budget I am sure can make a small allowance to implement some deterent for future thieves to wreak havoc on the shelter. It seems that The City of Mount Vernon does not even pay attention to the happenings of the Shelter...Please sign this petition to get the Mayor of Mount Vernon's attention for the plea of help for some kind of security system....
