MSSH’s student body feels as though the recent changes in the uniform policy have come too suddenly and we are simply unhappy with them. I speak especially for the senior class of 2015 who has become accustomed to wearing (school!) T-shirts and/or the sweater of their choice everyday. I for one have a collection of sweaters necessary for me to focus by not freezing in my classes and I am not up for purchasing a brand new collection of design-less sweaters and polos to replace the adequate amount of uniform I own already. I also cannot be the only one with siblings that have to deal with the same thing! This whole idea is only adding unnecessary stress and distraction to our school lives.

We ask that you either consider reversing the changes before your offices are bombarded with requests for uniform waivers or that you at least make the changes in a more gradual fashion. As high school students, we should not be feeling as though we’re still in elementary school getting ready to make a single file line to lunch. I hope you understand and respect our opinions and that you act upon them accordingly. Thank you.
