The state legislature is ignoring the fact that someone walked free after shooting a man in the head. We are almost at 250 signatures and I need you to flood your social media feeds until the people in charge cannot look away from this injustice.

The state officials want us to be quiet about this injustice but the momentum behind this petition proves they cannot hide the truth anymore. We are forcing them to look at the blood on their hands because this pathetic aggravated assault charge is an insult to every victim. This fight is just getting started and those in power will finally have to answer for this failure.

Total BS. We need laws that actually protect victims instead of letting shooters walk free on pocket change bonds.
How is shooting someone in the head not attempted murder?? That bond is a slap in the face to the victim and his family. Fix this law now.
Ridiculous. Aggravated assault my foot. If you pull a trigger on someone you are trying to kill them. Plain and simple.
The system is broken. Shooting someone in the head is obviously attempted murder. Change the charge.
My heart breaks for this man. Where is the justice. He could have died right there in the road.

This is completely insane. $2500 bond for a life taken? Or nearly taken? Mississippi needs to get with the times. Prayers for Brian.
