People wonder why young people are leaving this city and why Olean lost 70% of it's population in the past couple of decades. It's because those people had no representation. Want to make Olean a better place to live? Want to create more jobs and help the local economy? Want to keep dollars in the city and not let them go to nearby towns and counties? Allow this to happen.
it should be past it could cause a lot of tax money. it will help people like my wife and I who suffer from extreme pain.
I don’t partake myself, but when it’s legalized in our state there is no reason to ban sales. ONLY regulate them. It could bring new businesses and industries into the area. And with them, jobs.
We need a boom in olean and marijuana could be this boom. It can redice opiate overdoses. Be a shining beacon. Show how much improvement could come from this industry.
This is a huge opportunity to not only bring in jobs, but the tax revenue could make It so school teachers dont have to pay for the school supplies, fix our roads better than quick patching them every year, and a plethora of other things that always lack attention due to monetary constraints.
There is absolutely no reason if NYS legalizes marijuana that Olean should not reap the benefits of tax dollars that go along with it. Why send those dollars an paying jobs to surrounding communities when they are so needed here.

The City of Olean is greatly lacking in industry and needs this to rebuild the financial foundations of this city. If people have no work and continue to become financially depressed, they will leave or dive deeper into dangerous drugs. This could bring good wealth opportunity to both citizens and businesses of our area.
