Move forward to allow the marijuana industry into Olean, NY

There is absolutely no reason if NYS legalizes marijuana that Olean should not reap the benefits of tax dollars that go along with it. Why send those dollars an paying jobs to surrounding communities when they are so needed here.

Just do it

This is a much needed rejuvenation for our area. The infrastructure needs a massive face lift, our teachers shouldn't be buying the supplies out of pocket to give the children the education they deserve, and olean itself needs more jobs. The president told people in New York to get out, that the government is terrible. Dont prove him right. Do the right thing.

More job would be better for the city

The area so desperately needs a boost for business. This could be that chance!

I think it would be a good idea for Olean to allow this , especially on the business aspect and more jobs, and also to bring more financial stability to olean.

Olean, it is time to pull your heads out of your asses and let some things happen. Because of your archaic ways, our town is drying up and dying off.

I don't personally choose to smoke marijuana but I do think it should be legal. Its a plant that helps so many people

Statistics from states where it has been recreationally legalized shows nothing but positives. More jobs, big economic boom, money for infrastructure and education, decreased opioid use, multiple medical uses. The factory jobs alone that come with legalizing would bring life back to our city! If you vote against NY's recreational legalization, you WILL be voted out next election.

This is what our city needs.

There is no reason we should not benefit from the marijuana business that will soon be legal aside from closed mindedness and bigotry. The mayor needs to get with the times or give his seat up to someone that will.

More jobs

The City of Olean is greatly lacking in industry and needs this to rebuild the financial foundations of this city. If people have no work and continue to become financially depressed, they will leave or dive deeper into dangerous drugs. This could bring good wealth opportunity to both citizens and businesses of our area.

Bring Olean into the 21st century!
