Lets get REAL Justice For Jodi and Mariah... On October 28, 2008, Jason Marksteiner brutally raped and murdered Jodi Nicole McGrew and her unborn child Mariah Noel, in Leroy, IL. The McLean County State's Attorney Bill Yoder, on April 1, 2009, offered Jason Marksteiner a plea bargain, which dropped all but one murder charge of the eight different counts that he was charged with in exchange for 50 years in prison. The family and friends of Jodi and Mariah McGrew seek to make certain that no other Victims and Families of Victims have to suffer through the same injustice. 2 lives were taken and in this plea bargain, Bill Yoder effectively disregarded one life and ignored the many other counts that Jason Marksteiner faced. After 50 years in prison, Jason Marksteiner will be free to walk the streets again. We plea for the public to help us in fighting for the rights and protection of Victims and their families in making sure that all Accused Murderers face trial, without the offer of a plea bargain and at the very minimum, if convicted, require LIFE in prison, without the possibility of parole.
