On January 3, 2008, infant Jaci Rogers died.  She was just shy of four months old.  The woman responsible, Amy Rogers Jones, was convicted in November 2009, but did not begin her sentance until January 5, 2010.  The sentance was two years prison and three years probation.  Someone wrote the wrong date on Jones's paperwork, which caused her to be released in December 2010, not even serving a full year of her sentance.  About a week ago, Georgia Judge Sarah Wall set a hearing for March 1, 2011, a hearing in regards to Jones's being returned to prison.  Judge Wall said that Jones should get thirty days notice on the hearing.  Sign the petition and help us, family and friends of Jaci Rogers, to tell Georgia and Judge Sarah Wall that this is not right.  Amy Rogers Jones, who is not related to Jaci, did not give Jaci thirty days notice, so why should she get thirty days notice? We can't bring Jaci back, but we can help bring her justice.  Put Amy Rogers Jones back in prison now, and add all of the days that she has been free onto the end of her sentance.

**Update: Amy Rogers Jones is now back behind bars.  Thank you to all who signed, even though we did not have enough signatures to get this done sooner.  She is where she needs to be.  Your support for Jaci's family has not been unnoticed. Thank you.

This is just unreal. A baby lost her life and this woman spends less than a year behind bars because of a paperwork error. Send her back immediately.

Ridiculous! Put her back where she belongs. Justice for Jaci.
