A few months ago our entire block was hit with thieves going around breaking into cars. Our next door neighbor's car window was also smashed. Last week, these criminals managed to get into my car at 3am. Our camera spotted 3 young guys (possibly in their 20's) breaking into my car and searched around for 2 minutes before moving onto the next house. Our street is extremely dark with only a few lamp posts. We have noticed random cars parking in these "dark spots" for sometimes hours on end. We've sent an email to the city of Elk Grove explaining the situation with only getting brushed off with a "we will look into it" response. I am considering taking this request to a higher level and would like your help.
