Bus life works for commuting and it works well (if the timing is right in Mobile!). Honestly, commuting is the place to start in Mobile. Have people get accustomed to going to and from work on Moda! I mean I pay $80/month for parking downtown when I live so close! I would even be okay with Moda! having a monthly unlimited pass for $10! I would still save $840/year! We must start with little changes (but always remember the SKY TRAIN!), and we all need to make a few sacrifices in the short term to get what we want in the long term. So, here is what I am proposing: Extend Moda!’s route to Oakleigh. It will not cost anymore, and all it will make it a 15 minute loop, instead of a 10 minute loop. DON’T WORRY MIDTOWNERS, YOU WOULD BE MY NEXT STEP (…but that would cost money, so first we need to increase ridership! I already have a name picked out Mida!) What can you do? Ride Moda! when you are downtown. It actually was super fast, and we actually beat someone riding Moda! back to the office in the RSA who drove the other day from the Bike Shop. Sign this petition asking for Moda! to extend its route. If it does get extended, come park at my house (it’s free) and ride Moda! downtown and get rid of your overpriced parking spot.
