Hello Neighbors!
We are in need of your assistance. We have approached the office of public works multiple times about concerns regarding a missing crosswalk at the intersection of Clare Road and Solomon. These concerns have fallen on deaf ears. The city thinks it is not needed, but we have spoken with several neighbors and we all disagree. Many of us have experienced difficulty crossing Clare, which is one of the busiest intersections in the neighborhood with the fastest driving cars, located right next to the swimming pool and park. Families, children, or others needing assistance will often stand next to the road and drivers will not slow down or stop. A crosswalk will force the drivers to look for pedestrians and be liable to stop so that families and children can safely access the enmities and/or friend’s house located on the other side of Clare.
If you have a similar fear and belief there should be a crosswalk at this location, please sign our petition which we will deliver to city leaders for their consideration.

In the plans for the neighborhood, a roundabout is present at this intersection. I think that would be a great idea to slow down the traffic.
Too many people use this road as a cut through to other neighborhoods. They do not respect the speed limits. We live here and our families need to be protected. For once use city money for a worthy cause. Let’s not wait for a tragedy to happen. City Council be proactive not reactive. Thank you!
I walk my dogs in the neighborhood and sometimes Clare has gotten so busy that it take 5-7 minutes to cross during peak times during the day.
Clare road through Forest View carries a lot of traffic and cars just come charging through there. A cross walk is needed for safety crossing between the two sides of the neighborhood. The pool is right at the corner and attracts a lot of foot traffic. It needs to be safer for kids to cross there.
It is ridiculous that we even have to petition the city for something related to safety. People are driving back & forth on Clare going more than 50mph. At least 3 Deer have been killed since we moved here. Please act before a child gets hit.

I firmly believe we need this cross walk.

Would also like to see a sidewalk put in on the block that pool is on running along Clare. Then one wouldn't have to cross Clare twice to get to pool from neighborhood south of pool
