The airlines just announced they are capping ticket prices for our service members. I am honestly stunned that this worked and I know it only happened because you showed up for them. Please keep an eye on these fares to ensure they actually follow through on this promise.
Our military work hard to protect our freedoms. They spend countless months away from the ones they love, and when it is finally time for them to come home, they can pay anywhere from $500 - $3500 depending on the time of year. These rates force many of our military men and women to stay on base cause they can't afford the trip home. Please help stop the airlines from making our military pay crazy airline rates to be home with their families. By signing this petition we are asking the airlines for a set rate no more than $500 dollars round trip domestic or no more than $1000 round trip international to fly our military home.
I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people care about our service members getting home to their families. We are getting very near five hundred signatures and I truly believe this is happening because you chose to speak up.

This is the reason my son will not be home for Christmas. He purchased a ticket, then his leave was changed. The airlines would have charged him an additional 690.00 on top his 530.00 ticket. He hasn't been home in a year.

Being a member of the US military, I do agree with this petition. When we have orders/time shifts/liberty periods shifted on us at a moments notice, we are sometimes left with little choice than to purchase a ticket 2 weeks prior to a major holiday.

It's important that we take care of the men and women who take care our our country. Airline costs are not affordable to begin with, and some airline tickets literally wipe out a service man/woman's entire month of pay.

With 2 active service Marine sons, this is the least the airlines can do. Last year it was $800 for the oldest to fly home for Christmas from California to Illinois, this year it was $600 for our #2 son to fly from Virginia.

I don't believe they should have to pay at all, but if they do it should $250.00 domestic and $500.00 international. My son is a Marine, and they are already on budgets, we should be taking care of the little things like this that help them financially survive.
