As many of you know, Michigan has been declared the highest Auto Insurance in the country. Due to our unique NO Fault laws our Auto policies supply individuals with mandatory unlimited Personal Injury Protection in the event of an auto accident. However, times have changed since the 1970's when the law was first introduced. Many consumers want more reasonable rates and feel that an option to choose their medical benefits coverage should be available. By signing this petition you would be supporting House Bill 4936 which gives the consumer options of buying different levels of medical benefits coverage (PIP), with the highest amount being at 5 million. Signing this petition gives us the power as consumers to choose.
The momentum is shifting. People are finally tired of paying the highest rates in the country.

I already pay high rates for my personal health care, and now I pay added rates for health care through my car insurance. This is ridiculous. The people of Michigan never asked for this, it was forced on us by the people in the insurance industry.

My insurance rates are crazy. I pay $7,000 a year. Since I put my daughter on last year it went up $4,500 a year. That's outrageous, I have 2 vehicles with full coverage, and 1 plpd. I might have to by clunkers to afford this B.S.

I can barely afford to feed my children because of the unconstitutional Auto insurance rates in Michigan. It's like I'm working just to pay my auto insurance. We are the only state in the country with these ridiculous rates. Even New Jersey, who once had unlimited PIP realized it was a time for a change. Michigan is forcing it's citizens to become criminal. People simply can't afford to pay for auto coverage, so they are forced to drive "dirty".

Auto Insurance Reform needs to happen. Our legislature as let auto/health insurance providers run unchecked for too long. Regulate, regulate, regulate.

Auto Insurance needs to be reduced - it seems that much can be done to lower rates while still protecting those injured.

Yearly my auto insurance rates increase at a greater rate than my social security does. Something is drastically wrong. This should not be mandatory and there should be better control over the program. Induistry self policing NEVER works.
