The school board approved the naming of the court for Randy Michie. I am drained from this long process but relieved we finally secured this honor for him. We managed to get this done.

We would like to recognize and honor Randy Michie not only for his great success as a basketball and golf coach, but also as a teacher and mentor who impacted the lives of many students, athletes, and co-workers.

The emails I receive from former students keep me going when the process feels like it is stalling out. I am still working to get the right people to listen to these memories because Randy deserves this recognition.

Coach Michie taught me so much about life and the game. He really deserves this honor.
He helped my son when he was struggling in school. Great teacher and an even better person.
Been watching games at Monroe for 20 years and nobody has done more for that program than him.
DO IT. he put in the work for decades.
BEST coach ever! Had him for golf and he made the class actually fun. go randy!!

The man is a legend at WMHS. Basketball court should have been named after him years ago!
