This is a petition to present to the Rockingham County School board at their December 12th meeting asking to name the Rockingham County High School basketball court "Wall Court" in honor of coaches W. Woody Wall was my softball coach at Stoneville High School in 1984. He was a great teacher, coach, mentor and motivator! What a well-earned honor this would be for him and his father.
Both coaches more than deserve this!! They have put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this gym. W.A. And Woody have devoted their lives to the championship banners hanging in the gym.
Although I played basketball for Wentworth in High School I have always heard great things about W A Wall. Woody I have known through going to church with him many years. He is a great example of what a coach should be. A great person.
I've know WA and Woody Wall for 40 years. They are both outstanding character men and great coaches. It would be a well deserved honor for them and the RC community.
Both men are two of the most wonderful spirits that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They have made a immeasurable impact on women's basketball and I'm my own life. I know for a doubt that I would not be the woman that I am today, had I not met and loved both of them. I will always be truly grateful for them both. Simply put, I love them! Go Cougars!

I am highly in favor of renaming the RCSH basketball court in honor of both W.A. & Coach Wall. I played basketball for RCSH & by all means Coach Wall was/is a wonderful mentor, teacher & coach. I will forever keep him in my heart. This year my son has the opportunity to have him as a teacher.....well deserved!!
