The momentum behind this mural has finally forced the city to acknowledge they cannot just erase our neighborhood history on a whim. Michaud Flooring is not backing down and seeing this wave of public outrage is exactly what we need to keep the pressure on the board members.

The painting on the Michaud Flooring building adds so much interest to the area. It's a drab view of Columbia without it. PLEASE KEEP THE MURAL!
What verbiage in the Town of Columbia's Ordinance(s) could challenge the painting on this building? Really, government at it's best!!
This is shameful that the town of Columbia would ask that this tasteful mural that is responsible for a young persons scholarship be covered over. There are murals all over Willimantic that enhance the town and encourage the arts.
It is a wonderful piece of art. Would you prefer a Home Depot orange sign in it's place? Let it stay!
I cannot believe the Board of this City can be so ignorant This is so obviously beautiful... they should be thankful and should start a competition in town for others to do the same... I have been to cities that have had many of these buildings and it is so unique... we drove all over town to see all of them!

The mural is ART. It's beautiful and shows the diversity and artistic character of the town.
