This petition supports a campaign by students, parents and friends of Merrylands High School in western Sydney. They seek security guards for their school, which has been the target of gang violence. The petition has the backing of The Daily Telegraph newspaper and website. A poll of more than 900 people on www.dailytelegraph.com.au found 62% believed security at NSW schools was not tight enough.
