Please sign our petition for the accountability from City of Swansea Council that they attend a meeting with resident who are concerned over cyclist/pedestrian/equestrian and vehicle users safety on the new cycle path and road design at Mayals Road, Swansea. These are the two areas we are petitioning for:-
- Together we demand the Leader of Swansea City council along with Cllr Mark Thomas and Alan Ferris attend a full council meeting along with representatives of the Safe Mayals Campaign Group.
- Together we demand the chair of Mumbles community council along with Cllr Rebecca Fogarty attend a full council meeting along with representatives of the Safe Mayals Campaign Group.

The momentum behind this campaign proves that people are finally fed up with the dangerous neglect shown by Swansea City Council and Mumbles Community Council. We are done waiting for these officials to acknowledge the risks they created on Mayals Road. The pressure is mounting and they cannot dodge us forever.

Terrible lack of access for those with sensory/duel sensory disabilities, along with taking away of a vital crossing.
I’m the daughter of an elderly widow living on mayals road whose suffering from anxiety at not being informed by council or contractors of what is happening outside her own home. Appalled by Swansea councils actions
Safety issues
No.1 on CCOS mission statement. We have to do things differently to make things change and we do this through our values. 1. People focus We will focus on community needs and outcomes and on improving the lives of the people who live and work in Swansea. We will also respect, value and support our employees and demonstrate the highest standards of integrity.
We all have grave concerns about the safety of the cycle path and the lack of communication from the council
New changes to Mayals road are now a serious accident waiting to happen. Good luck to the person signing off on this dreadful project. Should a fatal collision happen I hope you are held accountable!

Residents and the SMR Campaign group have been trying to engage with the Council for over 16 months regarding safety concerns. Unsuccessfully. Instead, the public were advised it was a done deal and they will like it when it is done!
