Petition to force action by Swansea Council to listen to residents and thoroughly address dangerous road and pavement conditions and to provide safe areas of play for children and families in the village of Craig Cefn Parc, Swansea.
The momentum behind this petition highlights the growing consensus that our village roads require immediate and serious attention. It is clear that the concerns of our community are no longer being ignored.

Blind corner between Rhyddwen Road and Clydach Road is particularly dangerous.

The road and pavement conditions are disgraceful. We should be encouraging our young and old to get out and enjoy our beautiful village but it's just not safe.
My husband has been knocked by cars on numerous occasions when he is out running in flurecent clothes. Pavements would stop this.

its dangerous trying to walk to Clydach or Morriston hospital with no pavements.
The state of the roads make it difficult for me to supervise my children cycling in the area and I have had a number of falls from my bike because of the state of the roads.
Finally, once the condition of the road it addressed, speed reduction measures need to be instigated. Residents and passers-through drive faster than 30mph. We're in need of speed bumps and priority islands.

I agree Martin, speed is not an issue, road surface condition, appalling pavement maintenance and provision, dangerous open drainage and a lack of child playground facilities must take priority

I am in total support of this petition. The village is becoming more and more hazardous by the day. Our village is being used as a cut-through by some and the speeds people are travelling at are very dangerous. There are many children living here, many that attend our school, and it is not safe! The pavements, the little of them which we have, are in a state with overgrowth a constant problem. The children need somewhere safe to play other than by the roads.

It is high time the local Council look seriously at this issue before it ends in tragedy,
As a mother of 3 boys the situation is becoming more dangerous everyday and I fear for their safety and all other children living in this village, especially those walking to and from local school.
