Connect-McLean believes that a sidewalk or safe pedestrian walkway is needed in the following areas:
- On both sides of Kirby Road within a 1/2 mile of Chesterbrook Elementaryand the NW side of Kirby Road between Chesterfield Avenue and Powhatan Street
- On one side of Chesterbrook Road connecting Kirby Rd. to the Arlington County line.
Please express your support of the construction of missing sidewalk segments along Kirby and Chesterbrook Roads by signing this petition.

The local council cannot keep ignoring us now that this momentum has turned into a roar. We are forcing them to look at these dangerous roads and finally address the lethal lack of pedestrian safety they have allowed for far too long.

Need to make it safe for the neighborhood. Fully support putting these in.
YES. About time someone did something about this. So dangerous for the little ones.
Too many cars on Kirby road. Someone is gonna get hit eventually if we dont put a proper path in.
PLEASE fix this. its scary just trying to get to the school area.
I live on chesterbrook and almost got clipped twice last week walking the dog. Its ridiculous.
It's quite pivotal concept, we strongly support that.

My kids walk to school every day and it is so nerve wracking with the cars zooming by. We really need this sidewalk fix.
