I am a resident of Melbourne Florida, and have been all of my life. I have several other family members who are also life long residents. This petition is a request to have McGrath field in Melbourne Florida changed to Miles Field. My grandfather Warren Miles, along with several other members in my family single handedly raised the money for McGrath field. Along with building it. My grandfather has passed and recently we lost our grandmother. It would be a tribute to the both of them, and an honor for our family. Rightfully so it should be changed. Thank you for your support, and honoring my Grandparents, who worked so hard to build our community this park. Watched all the hard work on a daily basis for McGrath Field Melbourne to be built.The field would never excist if it were not for Warren and Margarite Miles.For all the past and future families ? This should be in there memory. "Let's Play Ball " "Miles Field" !
my grandma and grandpa had everything from light poles to block to build the dugouts donated my uncles laid all the block and did all the plumbing got the sod,,, they BUILT this field and it has lasted all these years

Both my parents worked very hard to build that field. We wanted to name it Miles field then, but it never came about. I hope the city reconsiders.
