This is a must. Mothers need time to recover from pregnancy and mothers need time with their newborns as well. If not maternity leave than at least light duty.
I don’t have children, but in the five years I’ve worked here I’ve seen this issue cause hardship on countless families in our agency. Happily signed!

Its honestly ridiculous that we have to fight for this. Working on the ambulance is hard enough without having to worry about losing your job right after giving birth.
