I spent the afternoon at school today and the hallways are just stifling. Many students have reached out to tell me they feel physically ill by the third period because of the heat. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the administration to explain exactly why this change is necessary for our health.

Seeing the growing support for this petition reminds me of how uncomfortable my own younger sibling feels sitting in those stifling, airless classrooms all day. It feels like the school is finally starting to recognize that our health and comfort should come before strict dress codes during these heatwaves.

Think school should let students wear there pe kit in the summer specially in heatwave
Totally agree with this it’s way to hot for these kids to be in their uniform, my kids are coming home exhausted and needing a lie down with a headache. They still look smart in there pe kits.
With temperatures so high it would help the students staying cool this summer , only 2weeks left aswell and this weather is in for the next month apparently!
We should be allowed to wear pe kit as this weather it so hot that certain students have felt faint and even gone home due to the heat
I understand the importance of a uniform,feel it needs to be looked at again in this extreme heat!

The p.e kit looks very smart and is much cooler for them all. Even with trainers for them, would be much better for their health and well-being.
