Mark is a great guy and always helps out at the courts. This whole thing feels way too harsh and totally out of line.

Mark has been suspended for one year for behavior unbecoming of a member. A couple months ago, Mark was playing tennis outdoors at Tualatin Hills. There is no rule to play with a shirt on. It was a 95 degree day. Mark obtained permission from the highest ranking USTA official on site to play without a shirt. He also got permission from the front desk at Tualatin Hills. About 20 minutes into his match, a USTA volunteer came down to tell Mark, 'Will you please put your shirt on, there have been some complaints'. Mark complied. After Mark's match he went to sign scorecard and encountered a female Mac member and asked her if she was the one that complained. She said, 'yes, it's inappropriate.' Inappropriate? Not against any rules, but her own I guess. Mark suggested she put pants on (she was wearing shorts). He felt, well if she can tell me to put a shirt on, I can tell her to put pants on. She complained to Mac. Mark was suspended for one year for something that happened off campus. Please sign this petition in support of Mark. If the one year suspension holds, Mark will likely have to make a very hard decision to resign from the club.
