The Manly Markets, a favourite destination for locals and tourists alike, are under threat of either diminishing vastly in size or being shut down altogether. The Manly Markets contribute to paying for popular events such as the Manly Jazz Festival, the Christmas Choral Concert, and Saturdays at Sunset. They help to attract business to the area and provide livelihoods for some of the best up and coming artists, designers, and craftspeople in the Sydney region.

To show your support in keeping the Manly Markets a regular and vibrant feature of the Manly area, please sign our petition below and be sure to tell your friends to sign it too!

Updates

July 23, 2013

I have spent this week walking through the stalls and talking to vendors who are terrified about losing their livelihood. The silence from the council is frustrating but it only reinforces why we must keep pushing to protect this heart of our community.

Seeing this community rally around the markets reminds me why I started this fight in the first place. These stalls are the heart of our weekends and the momentum behind our cause shows just how much we all value what we have here.
