A dog was hung for walking into a neighbours yard, I am trying to enforce harsher penalties for the abuse towards animals in Australia .
Laws are not tough enough, I'm asking the public to sign this petition to give the RSPCA more power to tackle the situation.
This can not be OK to kill a family pet and get a fine

just saw we hit 100 signatures and i honestly cant believe this many people care about justice for this poor dog. seeing this support really keeps me going because what happened is just plain wrong.

We need more harsher penalties for animal cruelty not a slap on the wrist and a fine. These people need to go to Jail! This was a cruel and horrible crime towards Goji, it not only has devestated the family but the whole community. Laws need to be changed!
This man has shown no remorse for a terrible act of cruelty. We must treat the abuse torture and murder of animals as the crimes they are with significant penalties which send a clear message to perpetrators and others.
If these acts were against a human the the consequence would be through the roof. IT SHOULD BE THE EXACT SAME FOR ANIMNALS THAT HAVE BEEN PUT THROUGH THE SAME PAIN. there should be No difference, A LIFE IS STILL A LIFE
We've recently built a home in Kuranda for our family + our 2 rescue dogs from our travels in the Pilbara + our young baby + this has given me nightmares, I'm so saddened for the family + Goji who didn't deserve passing from this world like this, it's so heartbreaking :(
Animals such as domestic pets should be treated with human decency as many of them are family members sometimes the only thing left of a family. Any abuse on animals should be punished as if they had hurt a child.
This same thing happened to my mother's dog
So sorry for your loss❤️ This person needs the worst kind of karma! Australian courts are to soft.

This has happened in the town I live in and has rattled the community. I am horrified at what this man did to a beautiful family pet and he has clearly shown little or no remorse so far for his actions. We need harsher penalties for people who abuse animals and it needs to happen now. RIP Goji
