After the recent appauling conditions puppies and dogs were found in Queensland in a puppy farm - and this occurs in other states - we would like to call upon ALL members of Parliament to take the time to review and change State Legislation so that people found to be causing harm and death to animals by either puppy farming or neglecting their animals and breeding and contributing to dog fighting, face harsher penalties and longer jail sentences.
Dogs have the right to be safe with humans, be loved and cared for and NOT be seen as a means of income.
We the undersigned call upon YOU to bring about the necessary changes

I have been spending my nights reading through the heartbreaking stories you are sharing about these animals. It is clear that we are all tired of watching offenders suffer no real consequences for this cruelty.

Seeing this movement grow brings me back to the first time I held one of those rescued pups and realized how much trauma they had endured. This momentum proves that I am not alone in my anger at the broken system that allowed these farms to thrive for so long.

Puppy farmers need to be jailed and made to live for 24 hours in the same conditions as they kept these poor animals. As it is premeditated the sentence should be life as it is total neglect and they can visualise the harm they are doing to these animals.
To get away with this treatment of any animal (not once but twice) is a disgrace to Australian animal rights! The responsibility of caring and providing at least the basic of care and love (they deserve) any human owning one has to be enforced TO DO SO! scum like this should be made example of to put the msg out that this WILL NOT BE TOLERATED m! Absolutely disgusting and so wrong on so many levels, those poor defenceless helpless animals

This is disgraceful. It is time people are punished for their actions.
It's absurd to think that this petition needs to be offered to affect change. Any abuse wether it be to domesticated animals or livestock raised for consumption should be given the opportunity live a life that is free from cruelty and suffering
Lock these monsters up for life.
